A sound bath and intention-setting experience with Sanctum Foundation
Sounds of the
Vineyard
BRAND NEW TO MEDITATION? YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
You do not need to be flexible, spiritual, experienced, or “good at meditation.” You do not need to know anything about yoga.
Breathwork simply means learning to work with your breathing in a structured, facilitated way. We'll offer clear guidance throughout the experience, and you remain in charge of your own body and participation at all times.
Join the Sanctum Foundation team for a meditativebreath work and sound bath experience, right here on the Vineyard.
Sanctum's Founder, Mandy Bynum, is a 500RYT Yoga and Breath work teacher. Having spent many years teaching and guiding students in the Bay Area, we are looking forward to bringing this transformative experience to the Vineyard and our community. All proceeds go directly to Sanctum Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and support our work creating meaningful spaces for reflection, connection, and community. The gathering will take place in a private home in Oak Bluffs. The exact address will be shared with registered guests.

What to expect
First things first: this is not two hours of meditation.
Sounds of the Vineyard is a relaxed, beginner-friendly gathering centered on breathing, music, sound, and rest. You'll spend much of the experience lying comfortably on a mat while Mandy guides you through a simple breathing practice.
There is no need to sit up straight, clear your mind, achieve a particular state, or have a profound vision. You are always welcome to adjust your position, open your eyes, return to your natural breath, sit up, or take a break.
If you're completely new to breathwork, yoga, or meditation, you are absolutely welcome here.

What to bring
Please bring your own towel or yoga mat. We will be laying on our backs for the breath and sound portion, so whatever makes you comfortable (pillow under the knees, neck support, etc) please feel free to bring it with you. We will eye coverings and extra pillows available as well.
What to wear
Its best to wear breathable, nonrestrictive clothing for breath work exercises. All guests must remove shoes upon entry. If you run cold, please bring a comfortable pair of socks. If you are moving to another event and want to bring a change of clothes, private space will be made available to do so.
What to know
For breath work, we recommend you do not eat up to 2 hours before the event. The Sanctum team will provide light refreshments following the session. Parking on-site is extremely limited. Please consider ride share options.
